Christopher Young, executive vice president at Gresham Storage Solutions will be presenting on Monday, October 12 in the Data Center/Infrastructure track at 2:50- 3:35pm. Young will be presenting on If Tape is Truly Dead, It Hasn't Gotten the Message.
Abstract: Join Gresham Storage Solutions for a look at tape in disk dominated world. Contrary to what many may say, tape is still often an important part of data infrastructures. Gresham will explore technologies and trends that are revitalizing and re purposing tape, giving users capabilities that would otherwise only be available in a disk only paradigm. One of the unique facets of this presentation will be discussing why companies who seek to achieve carbon neutrality are likely to do so by utilizing a diverse set of storage systems rather than exclusively standardizing on disk. |
