What is it?
Backup Virtualization (BV) allows for multiple backup applications to write to what appears to be a single backup target. In the case of Gresham's product this is a physical tape library that is presented as a dedicated device when, in fact, it is being shared amongst multiple servers in the case of Clareti Enterprise DistribuTape (EDT).
