Gresham will perform a comprehensive Backup Assessment to identify the current state of the Customer's IT infrastructure at customer's data center(s) as they are related to disk and tape storage management practices and processes. This may include an analysis of equipment configurations and network infrastructure. Gresham will assess the entire TSM environment, which will include:

Backup Practices

• Capacities
• Frequencies
• Number/size of files
• Percent and rate of change of target files and data
• Performance of TSM clients to TSM servers (data transfer speed)

System Infrastructure

• TSM Clients
• TSM Servers
• LAN-Free Clients (if not used, recommend where applicable)
• System Topology

  • SAN Architecture
  • Number, Capacity, Throughput and Access of Read/Write Elements
